Hours

A minimum guarantee of 600 hours will be offered if the employee works from Memorial Day (May 23, 2009) through Labor Day (September 7, 2009).

Your work hours will be reduced (15-30 hours per week) for the first three weeks of work due to our swimming pools only being opened part time. This will not affect your 600 total hour guarantee.

Normal work hours will be about 40-45 hours per week once you are working a full time schedule. Please do not expect to work 50-60 hour weeks.

*If an employee arrives after the job start date, his/her hour guarantee will be modified on a prorated basis.

Expected Schedule

Most swimming pools are open six or seven days a week from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm. Expect your work schedule to be mainly between these times.

A uniform will be supplied at no charge to you when you arrive in the USA. A standard lifeguard uniform consists of a red bathing suit, a lifeguard t-shirt, and a whistle.
